ANNOUNCEMENT
- Pursuant to the Agreement of Ministry of Public Security, No 084/MPS, 03rd Feb 2010 on Role and the Right of Department of Immigration of Lao PDR;
- Pursuant to the Announcement of prevention, control and address the outbreak of Corona virus or COVID-19 task force Committee, No 001/TFC, 2nd Mar 2020;
- Pursuant to the Official Letter of Ministry of Foreign Affair, No 837/Mofa, 19th Mar 2020.
Department of Immigration of Lao PDR has honor to inform that in response to the COVID19 outbreak worldwide, which has been causing difficulties to exit Lao PDR to their home countries or their next destination and need to stay more in Laos, please following these instructions:
- Foreigners, stateless people who legally obtained Lao Visa and enter into Lao PDR and made 2 times for Visa extension, you can make Visa extension more at Department of Immigration of Lao PDR until COVID-19 crisis end and;
- Foreigners, stateless people who are entered into Lao PDR as Visa Exemption that signed Agreement on Visa Exemption unilateral and bilateral with Lao PDR, you can make extension at Department of Immigration of Lao PDR until COVID-19 crisis end.
The said notification will enter into force from 21st March 2020 until another Official notification will be replaced.
Department of Immigration of Lao PDR avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all of foreigners, stateless people who is staying in Lao PDR.
